SNRNP25 belongs to the small nuclear ribonucleoprotein core protein family. This protein is a component of the U12-type spliceosome that is found in some eukaryotes and removes U12-type introns, which are rare and have distinct splice consensus signals. The U12-type spliceosome consists of several small nuclear RNAs and associated proteins. Recombinant human SNRNP25 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
